The Berlin Buzzwords 2019 call for Submissions is now open! We believe in collaboration, participation, and the exchange of ideas. That's why we encourage all Big Data Open Source enthusiasts to submit ideas for talks, workshops, and discussions on Large Data Processing, NoSQL, IR/Search, AI/Machine Learning, Data Science or related topics.
To encourage everyone interested in participating in this years 10th Berlin Buzzwords, we thought we would share with you some advice and an offer of help from Steve Loughran. Steve was on our program committee for many years and is an expert on getting your abstract ready.
With every new submission that comes in we are getting more and more excited for the upcoming 10th edition of Berlin Buzzwords. We want to make your Berlin Buzzwords experience better than ever so we have asked some expert speakers to share their experience talking on stage.
We are happy to share with you a conversation with Ellen Friedman. Ellen is Principal Technologist with MapR, a speaker and an author, and is currently writing mainly about big data topics. She is a committer for the Apache Drill and Apache Mahout projects. We are also very happy to have Ellen as one of the newest members of our program committee.
In the fourth conversation of our Conversations with Berlin Buzzwords series Nina talks to Uwe Schindler. Uwe is a committer and PMC member of Apache Lucene and Solr.
For the third conversation in our Conversations with Berlin Buzzwords series Nina chatted with Ted Dunning. Among many other things Ted is the VP of Incubator at Apache Software foundation as well as member of the Board of Directors at Apache and mentor on many recent projects.
