Venue

The KulturBrauerei is a landmark of Berlin's industrial history built in a distinctive 19th century architectural style. The site which is under national trust protection contains six linked courtyards and over 20 buildings used by creative artists for a wide range of events including cultural happenings like parties, theatrical performances or cinematic and gastronomic events.

The KulturBrauerei is located in the “Kiez” of Prenzlauer Berg, one of Berlin's cultural centres. Even in the GDR era, students, artists and creative people massively influenced the image of the lively and urban neighbourhood. Nowadays it is well known for having many bars, cafés and restaurants as well as the popular flea markets around Mauerpark and Arkonaplatz. Luckily both flea markets take place on Sundays so you can root around for unique and rare pieces before Berlin Buzzwords Barcamp opens its doors.
