TRAVELING IN BERLIN

Public Transport

Berlin has an excellent public transport network. You can get almost anywhere by using the U-Bahn (subway), S-Bahn (suburban railway), bus or tram. The inner city zone is classified as Berlin A/B.

Tickets can be purchased at ticket machines located on all platforms and at many bus and tram stops. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding an U- or S-Bahn (yellow/red validating machines are located alongside ticket machines). Tram and bus tickets can also be validated and bought inside the vehicle.
